ARMAVIR SCHOOL PROJECT
Renovate Border School Classrooms
In June 2023 Strobia Foundation team visited border schools. It was heartbreaking to see the neglected conditions of the schools. Strobia Foundation partnered with one of the schools in the Armavir region. Serving grades 1-12 the large school currently has over 115 students. After meeting with school leadership, the Principle shared his top wish list. As a result, Strobia Foundation fully renovated 3 spaces creating Science and Innovation labs. We hope to do more at the school as it is a large campus with a huge gym that can be renovated to be a thriving Community Center and Campus Gymnasium. Due to the conditions of the school, most classrooms are not being used and the gymnasium is not used at all.
Seeing the impact of our efforts thus far, Strobia Foundation would like to do more to renovate the school for use.
Initiative Highlights:
♦ Fully renovate 3 spaces to create Science and Innovation Labs
♦ Over 114 students now use these classrooms including forcibly displaced students from Artsakh.
♦ Job Creation: As a result of renovated teaching space, school was able to hire a Science teacher who used to be a teacher in Artsakh.
♦ Community Development: The entire community feels a renewed sense of purpose.
